In June 2013, Seagreens was incorporated as an ingredient in a steak pie voted 'England's Best Steak Pie' by the UK Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board.

In recent years, Seagreens newest product The Mineral Salt - an organic seaweed and salt combination - was voted overall Winner in the CAM 'Best New Product' Awards. It was also was 'Highly Commended' in the London Free From Food Awards and voted 'Best Organic Product' by readers of Healthy Living magazine.

Seagreens unique production of human food quality seaweed in the Scottish Outer Hebrides received a Crown Estate Business Award in 2010 and in 2011 an Environmental Sustainability Award from the Scottish Environmental Protection Agency and Scottish Natural Heritage.

The independent Seaweed Health Foundation, set up by Seagreens with its industry and academic partners in 2010, gained its first research award from the Alpro Foundation for a study in obesity. Research at the Centre for Food Innovation in Sheffield was recognised in 2012 as "an idea which will have a profound effect on our future" by the UK Research Council.

Dr Craig Rose, the Foundation's Executive Director, Seagreens' founder Simon Ranger, and Ingrid Eissfeldt, a master baker and one of Seagreens Brand Partners, were interviewed in BBC Radio 4's The Food Programme, Sunday 6th May 2012.
